BCI has a governing body which makes key decisions to determine the future directions and monitory investments to reach its strategic ambitions. The Governing Council which includes regulatory and facilitative agencies, the Ministry of Education, and the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Sri Lanka ensures the financial sustainability and delegates the operational running of the institute.
His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, the Archbishop of Colombo is the founder and first Chancellor of the BCI Campus.
His Eminence was ordained a priest in 1975 by His Holiness Pope Paul VI in Rome, and was appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Colombo in 1991, and then as the Bishop of Ratnapura. In 2004 His Eminence was nominated as the Apostolic Nuncio (Vatican Ambassador) to Indonesia and East Timor.
Fr. Camillus received his Doctorate in Science of Education in the Faculty of Philosophy at the Urbanian University in Rome the year 2004. He completed entire course work and examinations during the first academic year and at the end of the second academic year he submitted and defended his dissertation on the title Science of Teaching (Pedagogy), A Philosophical Analysis on Teaching.
Prof Ajantha Dharmasiri is a conference speaker, corporate trainer, strategy consultant, author and an academic. He has a rare combination of being a Chartered HR professional, Chartered Electrical Engineer, and a Chartered, fellow member of the Management Institute (CMI), UK.
Dr W Hilary E Silva is a well-known Accounting & Finance academic having over 33 years of experience in the University sector in Sri Lanka and abroad. He has served as a senior lecturer, Head of Department and as the Dean in the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
Very Rev. Fr. Jude Samantha Fernando was ordained priest in 2002. He obtained Bachelor of Philosophy and the Bachelor of Theology from the Pontifical Urban University (Rome). Subsequently he earned a Masters (Licentiate) in Canon Law from the same University.
Rev. Fr. Ivan Perera is one of the Senior Members of the BCI Governing Council. He has served as the Episcopal Vicar for regions of Negombo and Colombo South and oversees Special Projects in the Archdioceses. As a young priest he offered his services as a youth chaplain.
Rev. Fr. Gemunu Dias Jayewardene was ordained priest in 1998. He has worked in different capacities both in parishes and educational institutions of the Archdiocese of Colombo. Since 2000, Fr Dias Jayewardene served in the Archdiocese, taking up enormous responsibilities in the field of education.
Rev. Fr Gihan Ridley is the Administrator of Lands & Properties in the Archdiocese of Colombo. He obtained the Bachelor of Philosophy and Bachelor of Theology from the Pontifical Urban University (Rome), Masters of Arts (Sociology)
Having more than 30 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, Mr. Fernando is the Chief Executive Officer / Director of Alpha Apparels Ltd. and Sirio Ltd. He is also a member of Boards of Directors of all Omega Line group companies, a subsidiary of Calzedonia SpA Italy.
Mr. Johnson Fernando is the Co-owner & the Director of Expo Industrial Group which has diversified interests including in Apparel, Food Packaging, Industrial Printing, Commercial Printing, Logistics Management, Engineering and Construction.
